Alcohol Awareness Month

National Alcohol Awareness Month is coming up in April. Drinking too much can harm your health. Excessive alcohol use increases your risk of injuries, violence, heart disease, some cancers, and other chronic diseases. In 2022, there were roughly 6,000 deaths due to excessive alcohol use in North Carolina. To find out more about excessive use and its related harms in North Carolina, please visit the Alcohol Data Dashboard.

To raise awareness about alcohol-related harms and the importance of alcohol policy safeguards, take a look at this ‘Alcohol Awareness Toolkit’ from the Prevention Technology Transfer Center (PTTC) Network.
