This is a systematic review of the literature on psilocybin for treatment of substance use disorders (SUDs). There were 7 studies on alcohol (AUD), 5 on tobacco (TUD), and 1 each on opioids and cocaine. Studies on AUD showed reductions in drinking days and drinking problems, and an increase in abstinence. One study correlated hallucinogen intensity with improved outcomes.
