Addiction Medicine Conference Brings Energy, Insight, and Connection to Asheville

Recently, the Governor’s Institute’s 2026 Addiction Medicine Conference in Asheville, NC brought together hundreds of healthcare professionals for a dynamic and engaging experience focused on advancing substance use disorder (SUD) care.

Held April 9–11, the conference offered both in-person and virtual participation, creating space for a broad range of providers to connect and learn. Attendees explored clinically relevant, evidence-based approaches to addiction medicine through expert-led sessions designed for physicians, advanced practice providers, and other members of the healthcare team. Participants also had the opportunity to earn continuing education credits while deepening their knowledge and skills to improve patient care.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue the momentum this summer with our 3rd Annual Adolescent Substance Use Disorder Conference, which will be held virtually on June 3, 2026. Registration is open: Adolescent SUD Conference | Addiction Medicine
