For vulnerable populations, such as pregnant women with opioid use disorder (OUD), the shift in healthcare delivery resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic represents an abrupt transition and compounds the significant barriers to care that already exist for this population. The authors of this report describe how the transition to telehealth-only group visits in a cohort of pregnant women with OUD led to decreased attendance of therapy sessions and up titration of medications secondary to cravings.
