New NC Statewide Overdose Surveillance Reports for February 2025

The Injury and Violence Prevention Branch of the Division of Public Health (IVPB) recently posted an update of suspected overdose deaths, fentanyl-positive deaths, and provisional data on Emergency Department (ED) visits for overdose reports.

The IVPB did not post their January reports and are unable to provide county-level medication/drug ED visit reports this month.

Also, the IVPB recently launched a new overdose page that streamlines their monthly reports and annual updates of other key metrics. The new site can be found here: North Carolina Overdose Epidemic Data.
